I am very pleased with my experience working with Steel Shield. Sean was very helpful guiding us to pick the right door for our needs in showroom then coming to our home to measure and help us decide on a color. Like others have said, we were told six to seven weeks but it was just over 9 weeks before the door was installed. Chris was our installer and did a fantastic job. The door looks and operates great and everything was cleaned up when he was done. We love our new door, it was worth the wait.

We got our front (double doors) and back security screen doors from this company. The experience and the quality of doors exceeded our expectations. The salesman Sean was very professional, knowledgeable and helpful in the decision as to style & color for the doors. They look better than we anticipated. The quality of the doors (well built and solid) was well worth the wait (about 10 weeks) and money. We especially like all the security features of the door, including the heavy duty screen. George did a great job installing the doors. He was professional, friendly, did a quality job and left zero mess. We are so happy, too, that these doors are custom made right here in Arizona.

I went through Adobe Blinds in Maricopa and they set up Steel Shield for my security door. I am so pleased with the installer, a very professional and polite young man named Buzz. He arrived promptly and explained that the installation was going to be a bit noisy and that he would be done in 2-3 hours. I let him do this thing and in 2 hours, maybe even a little less, it was done. Buzz had me inspect the door and it was absolutely beautifully installed. It was squared up, solid, and sturdy. It was obvious that he took time at every step to make sure everything was done nicely. After the install, he explained to us how the door works (very different than the old screen doors of my youth) and how to operate the door in different situations (i.e. if we needed more than the 90 degree opening). Buzz was very patient with our questions and me reiterating everything to make sure I got it all, especially the grease gun part. Then he went through their checklist and everything was perfect. No gaps of light anywhere, everything was level and the caulking was so even that I wished Buzz was the one who did the interior of my house. So I’m really glad that the installer who came yesterday made up excuses to not install my door – I had someone pressure washing my roof at the same time and he didn’t want to get sprayed even though I told him I had gutters that would solve the problem and it was obvious that the drain spouts were doing their job, but I guess he didn’t feel like working. So happy now about that because we got a great install with Buzz. Oh, by the way, I love my new door too! Thank you Buzz and Steel Shield.

From start to finish this company was outstanding! After speaking with one of the owners, David spent time explaining the process and even showed me their products behind closed doors. What owner of a company will actually sit down with a client and show them their products and even put a sketch together on the same day. I knew right then and there that customer service was everything to him and his company. My custom entry gate took several trips from the install manager to ensure the measurements were correct and the beams fit properly. I cannot thank Ruben enough for his attention to detail when installing this difficult gate!!! Shout out to Ruben and hoping he can be the one who installs our security door when we order. We had originally stopped by another shop because we had seen their ad in the mall; when we arrived at their showroom four people sat around with not even a hello as we browsed for about 7-10 minutes discussing options. After no one paid us any attention I quickly knew how the future of working with this company was going to go, been there, not gonna do that… So we left and that lead us to find Steel Shield after some research.

Steel Shield answered right away and we got an appointment with John Haines. John is a great guy to work with. Once John took the time to go over what we wanted he made a few suggestions but we ultimately decided on what we originally wanted and he didn’t pressure us, just informed us.

John took his time taking the measurements, told us he would be in touch and we saw home once more after that as he wanted to double check his work.

When the gate was ready, right on time, two guys came for the install and did a perfect job. I’m pretty anal when it comes to alignment and equal spacing but between John’s measurements, the actual fabrication of the gate and the install they couldn’t have nailed it more! Solid, great looking product that you couldn’t get installed any better.

Overall, we love our front porch gate and we loved our rare experience of working with a company that clearly takes pride in their work.

I initiated my consultation with a contractor named Tom Larson. He was professional, informative, friendly, and gave me all the information that I needed. I selected the horizon door, with brushed nickel hardware, in Penny vein. It took about 6 to 8 weeks for the installation to be scheduled, and it just took place today. A young man by the name of Buzz showed up on a Saturday, he was extremely friendly, polite, professional, and skilled. He installed the door in less than two hours, and showed me all of the aspects that I needed to know. I feel immediately safer, being that it requires a key to lock from the inside and the outside. I was left with a couple of magnetic wreath hooks which was the highlight on the top of this wonderful door experience. From beginning to end this company responded with friendliness, accuracy and estimations of time frames, and did a beautiful job of installing this beautiful security door. I would highly recommend them!

First off I absolutely love the security doors Looks awesome -feels like they will stop a tank And in this crazy day and age they better The guy that installed them was great – when I called in they were always nice in letting me know the status My only issue is with the follow up from my sales guy I guess he’s the only one for the east valley – I had one small issue –not really an issue I just had a question on disengaging the part that keeps the door from opening real wide – John never got back to me but I figured it out- and the guy who installed the doors did show me I just forgot But then John got upset when I said I was going to finance – did not like that at all so ……because he’s so old I just let it go and paid cash John is nice but i do I feel bad but I’d try to get a hold of him inquiring about one more door for my garage and security screens for my home — he did just get back to me yesterday So if you are considering security doors they are awesome e and worth it but just be patient with the sales guy Otherwise 10 stars I finally called into the main office and he called me back and I did get numbers but then he just hung up !? So I’m considering adding more

It’s rare that I write a review. After 30 years in Facilities Management I can be hard to impress. However today I had my socks knocked off by a young but incredibly dedicated tradesman called Buzz. He is a consummate professional and prides himself on his work. Polite, friendly and definitely dedicated to and proud of his company and his craftsmanship. Rightly so too ….. He was on time, explained the process and potential noise to us and then set about his business. He completed the install within the time he advised and kept us updated along the way. He also ensured his work site and our front door area was every bit as clean as when he found it. Buzz had us inspect the door working through his checklist to ensure that everything was covered and we were happy. Then he spent some time explaining the operation and maintenance of the door.

I was impressed with the install as my house is 40 years old and there’s been a couple of flippers and do it yourself’rs along the way. Buzz was able to work through a few challenges and make it safe and secure for us.

He also did an excellent job of walking us through the various features of the door along with a few that we did not catch when we purchased the door. What a fabulous security door we have purchased and what an amazing installer Buzz is! Extremely happy and I will not hesitate in recommending Steel Shield Security Doors to friends and neighbors.
