(Fox 10) FOUNTAIN HILLS, Ariz. – A 62-year-old Fountain Hills woman was tied up during a home invasion. This all started around 8 a.m. Monday after the woman returned home from a workout.

When she entered the home, she found a man inside. According to authorities, the suspect hit the woman and tied her up. The suspect stole items from the house, then threatened the victim and fled the scene near Shea and Sahuaro Boulevards.

About 25 minutes later, two men came to the house — the victim’s son and her son-in-law, who happens to be a Glendale police officer.  They immediately got in touch with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s office to report the home invasion. A neighbor described the victim’s call for help.

“Come over right away, I’ve been mugged and robbed. And we went over there as fast as we could… she was in the yard, she was pretty bloody.”

The search continues for a Hispanic male in his 30s, described as clean-shaven with black hair, 5′ 8″ tall and 160 pounds. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a black shirt and black shorts.
